| 1/1/2008:
Took some photos of the chassis set up and of my completed sound
system. I was able to get a Nextar 1 Gb MP3 player at K-mart on
sale for $21. So for nw my MSE is complete. The way I'm running
my sound is: I took the 4 Sound files from the group and added some
mousy sounding R2 files and made 3 blank tracks. (15, 30 and 60
seconds long) and made 6 copies of each. I uploaded them to the
MP3 player and play them on random. The MSE seems to be alive in
a sense... It just randomly starts talking. Worked out pretty neat.
I've uploaded some pics on how I set it up in my Shell. |

| 12/26/07:
Over the last 17 days I've been busy completing my mouse droid.
And I'm done. Except for the sound. My ZUNE won't play the sound
files I have and I have't been able to track down new sound files.
I made the side greeblies from 6x4 inch PCB from Radio Shack. Which
I believe to be the ideal size for Max's shell. And for the details
I used the IC from some old RAM I had. The Greeblie Trays on top
I made cut out from an old PC cover and the greeblies are just bits
from fiber optic cable covers and connectors and electrical components
from an old mother board I have. I was saving the old dead PC to
fix it and build another PC. But I finally got my 2nd PC up and
running, which is newer and I don't need 3 PCs.... Any ways, back
to my MSE. I'm still working on a sound system and eventually I
will be redoing the chassis of it. The RC car I got has a really
sucky run time and I can't find spare batteries for it. They also
take forever to charge. |

12/9/07:
Over the weekend I painted my greeblie trays and got an RC car.
I used the New Bright Ferrari F430. Not 100% but it worked. I'm
a lil bit out of touch with the whole RC car thing. As you can
tell by the video. I actually crashed it 3 times :( In time I'll
become a better driver. Videos a lil dark. I'll take a better
one later on.

12/5/07:
The plastic trays were too big , so I made new ones out of metal
with my new Dremel 400 XPR (I love this thing). Once I had them
cut out, I couldn't bend the back piece. So I scored out a line
to thin out the metal there and was able to bend them by hand.
I will finish them when my greeblies come in.

I started to assemble my greeblie trays. The lower pieces on the
front that I had cut were too long and not quite straight. I will
be making another set next week. |

| 11/28/07:
I trimmed the edges of the MSE shell and test fitted the greeblie
trays. They seem a tad big to me, even though I followed club plans.
I still need to glue them. I will do that tomorow. I also had to
rewash the shell to get all the plastic dust off. |

Started work on the Greeblies. I think the bumps of the material
adds to it. Got the "trays" done. I will be ordering the
rest of the fiddly bits this week. |

My
set up's a lil ghetto. But works so far. All I have to do is glue
them together.
